International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition

Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois
Booth #2637

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference & Exhibition, also known as “The Powder Show”, is the only event in the western hemisphere bringing together the powder & bulk solids handling and dry processing sector – the community of OEMs, process engineers, and executives whose activity accounts for 70% of the manufacturing lifecycle of every product on earth.

Whether you produce building materials, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, rubber, or even food products more than likely your production is creating dust, or you need to move product from one place to another.  Stop by CAMCORP’s booth and discover why our dust collection, pneumatic conveying, and bulk material handling solutions throughout North America don’t have a negative impact on your powder and bulk solids production. Manufacturers have come to trust CAMCORP to maximize reliability and maintain air quality compliance without sacrificing production.

July 13-15, 2021

International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo

Iowa Event Center in Des Moines, Iowa
Session: Considerations that can significantly impact dust collection system efficiency and performance
Speaker:  Tracy Janssen, Vice President of Air Pollution Control at CAMCORP
July 14 at 1:30 in Room 2

The session “Considerations that can significantly impact dust collection system efficiency and performance” will be part of Track 1 Exploring the Relationship Between Plant Maintenance, Worker Safety, and Overall Profitability.

Abstract:
All dry grind ethanol plants employ a number of process-critical, and nuisance dust collection and material handling systems at their facilities. Air pollution control systems are often installed at or near bulk storage containers, transfer points such as belt conveyors and bucket elevators, dryers, milling, and Dried Distillers Grain (DDG) loading & cooling.  These processes create large volumes of nuisance dust that must be controlled not only for general housekeeping purposes but for preventing potential combustible dust hazards as well. While most of the attention is put on the processing equipment, little time is given to the ventilation system needs and requirements.  Air pollution control equipment should never have a negative impact on production.  This discussion will focus on considerations that significantly impact system efficiency, performance, and most importantly worker safety. This will include how poorly designed aspiration hoods and improper fan sizing contributes to fugitive dust accumulation and increased maintenance, repair, and operation spending.  Attendees will learn how to size and select dust collection and ventilation equipment or to determine when to involve dust collection system expertise. Considerations that can significantly impact meeting air quality requirements.
